You don’t need scales to make melodies. You just need to take your chords and use them horizontally. Every vertical stack of notes, every chord, already has a melody lying dormant within it, the top note. In this video we take three chords and derive a melody using the notes of the chord. We then set that melody to a Drum and Bass drum beat and add a synth bass line.
