After one of Israel's most consequential elections, the path forward for the country and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is uncertain.
“Netanyahu has now been in public life for 45 years. And all that time, it's always been about him, the way he did diplomacy, and the way he does politics, the way he does statesmanship,” said The Economist’s Anshel Pfeffer, a Netanyahu biographer.
“It's about the spectacle. It's about the speech. It's about how you appear in the media,” Pfeffer told Compass Points host Nick Schifrin.
Netanyahu's actions have “redefined” what it now means to be a politician in Israel, Pfeffer added.
