America’s Tallest Mural Unveiled in the Bronx

America’s tallest mural has been unveiled in the Bronx, New York, but the accolade was earned by accident. Street artist Néstor Omar García, whose tag name is Angurria, spent 22 days crafting the 307-foot mural which covers 29 stories at the Morrisania Air Rights Houses. Angurria, who is from the Dominican Republic, had help from a local artist and used more than 700 spray cans to create the mural titled “Un MAR de Gente / From Every Shore.” Initially, the artist said he was told the work would be the tallest mural in The Bronx. Later it was designated the tallest mural in New York City. Now , now it's titled the tallest mural in the U.S.
