For the last two years, the fifth estate has investigated the disappearances of young Black boys from the Greater Toronto Area who are groomed and lured into drug trafficking networks in cities like Brampton, Ont. From there, they’re dropped off to deliver drugs into remote Northern communities and left to fend for themselves.
Since the investigation began, teens recruited by gangs and their families across other provinces have spoken with the fifth estate. CBC is identifying them by a pseudonym for safety after sharing what they’ve learned about how grown men are luring teenagers into crime.
