There Is No Devil in the Hebrew Bible (Data Over Dogma Classic)

Ask most people who Satan is and you'll get a very confident answer — almost none of which comes from the Hebrew Bible.

This episode, we walk through all 27 occurrences of the word "satan," from human rivals and battlefield opponents to a divine prosecutor working for God. We then traces how Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, and the serpent in Eden all got folded into one character centuries later.

The devil isn't in the details — he was assembled from them.
