Pope Leo XIV is welcomed to the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires by Argentine President Javier Milei. The visit, part of a tour to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru, is the first by a pontiff to the home country of the late pope Francis in nearly four decades. The Argentine stage of his visit aims to boost the flagging faith of a country left disappointed by Francis's failure to visit during his papacy.
