Looking down at Earth during his first spacewalk left Canadian astronaut Joshua Kutryk in awe of its beauty and how fragile it is.
“When you see the world as one, it's just this beautiful little thing that is so, so fragile,” he said Friday from the International Space Station.
Kutryk said the experience made him feel small and inspired him to be a better person and help protect the planet.
The former Alberta farm boy became the fifth Canadian Space Agency astronaut to venture outside the station on Thursday.
