A midterm blue wave swept over the American political map Tuesday, with the Associated Press projecting the Democrats to wrest control of both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Democrat James Talarico is projected to beat Ken Paxton, who had Trump’s endorsement, to wrest the Texas Senate seat from Republicans after 33 years.
Speaking to supporters at his victory party on Tuesday night, Talarico vowed to be a candidate for all Texans and to continue the momentum the party had picked up that night.
