The first results are in for the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, and they're not looking good for U.S. President Donald Trump.
Democrat Jon Ossoff is projected to win in Georgia, just one of several early upsets that could see the Democrats riding a "blue wave" to big gains in the House and Senate.
Results are not expected to begin being announced until late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, with full results not expected for several days. But media reports indicate strong turnout in key battleground states for both control of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
