Risk appetite stabilized following last week’s slump in tech shares. Morgan Stanley’s Mike Wilson said he sees a few “clearing events” ahead for the stock market that have the potential to take it lower temporarily, creating a great opportunity for investors to pile back in.
Oil declined after a report said US President Donald Trump wants to give diplomacy with Iran more time before potentially resuming strikes following Tuesday’s midterm elections.
And - ahead of Tuesday’s US midterm elections, Representative Haley Stevens, who lost the Democratic primary for Michigan’s US Senate seat, backed Republican candidate Mike Rogers, breaking with Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed and exacerbating a split between progressives and moderate party members.
