An investigation is underway after an early morning fire tore through a home under construction on Daleberry Place in North York. Global News has learned the home had been under construction for about two years and was close to being finished. Now, it’s been completely gutted by the flames.
Neighbours were forced to escape their homes in the middle of the night as the fire quickly spread to adjacent houses.
“The adjacent houses will be displaced until we can make sure they’re safe from whatever fire or heat damage those houses had,” Toronto Fire Services Division Commander Robert Hewson said.
Our Victoria Femia has the story.
