Dash cameras were put to the test to see how well they capture important details in real-world driving conditions. Each camera was tested for its ability to read distance markers, license plates, and road signs while moving. Tests included determining how many stops away a sign could be read, evaluating the clarity of a roadside lightbox, and measuring sign readability at highway speeds of 70 mph. Finally, each dash camera was tested at night to see how well it could capture license plates while traveling on the highway.
