What is it like sleeping in space?

In the newest episode of Horizons, host William Brangham spoke with astronauts Karen Nyberg and Don Pettit about life – and sleep – aboard the International Space Station.

“You feel like you’re 30 years old again.” Pettit said. “You float into your bed and remember you’ve worked 12 to 14 hour day.”

“It was a little different for me,” Nyberg said, “because I actually missed that pull of gravity on me.”

Horizons from PBS News dives into the science, health, technology and environmental issues making headlines each week. Visit the PBS News website to watch this week’s episode.
