Speaking at a church in Michigan, longtime South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn delivered a speech amid a push for votes for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections.
Clyburn, who has held his seat for over 30 years, told the congregation "this is going to be the most consequential election that this country has had in 150 years," noting that the 1876 election saw the end of reconstruction and the beginning of Jim Crow.
