Millions of Americans head to the polls Tuesday with all 435 seats in the U.S. House up for election, while 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate are up for grabs. There has been a surge in early voter turnout compared to the last midterm elections, with nearly 58 million ballots already cast. In 2022, around 46 million were counted before Election Day. If Democrats win control of the House, it will give them unrestricted oversight power. If Democrats take the majority in the Senate, they could block or delay the confirmation of federal judges — or a Supreme Court nominee. The Way Too Early panel breaks down the latest.
