Did King James slip "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" into the Bible because he hated witches?
Not even close: the line was already in every English Bible back to Tyndale, and it goes back to a feminine Hebrew noun in Exodus 22 that the ancient Greek translators turned into a masculine plural.
