From The Retirement Nerds.

Your Annual Notice of Change is landing right now, and a lot of people are opening it and panicking. Most of you don't need to.
Every plan sends an ANOC by September 30. Most plans change a little. Some change meaningfully. A few change a lot. This video walks through all three so you know which one you're in and what to do about it.
One thing to know up front: the 2027 plans aren't public until October 1, and you can't actually change anything until October 15. Anyone telling you to act before then is selling something.

TWO LETTERS, NOT ONE
The ANOC describes changes to a plan that is continuing. A non-renewal letter means your plan won't exist in 2027 — and for coverage ending December 31, that letter is dated October 2. Keep it. You may need it.
DATES THAT MATTER
Sept 30 — ANOC deadline
Oct 1 — 2027 plans go public
Oct 2 — non-renewal letters dated
Oct 15 — you can finally enroll
Dec 7 — enrollment closes
Dec 31 — your current plan still covers you
Jan 1 — new coverage starts
