The Eagle's Nest was commissioned by the Nazi Party for Adolf Hitler to entertain guests and host diplomatic functions. It survived World War II intact and just seven years after the war ended it was opened to the public - as a restaurant and beer garden. It burned down two weeks ago and despite the best efforts of around 200 firefighters the interior of the historic structure was gutted. The question in Germany now is: Should it be rebuilt? Mary Fulbrook, Professor of German History at University College London talks to DW News.
