Florida has built a reputation as a retirement paradise, but for some residents preparing for life after work, the current economy paints a much bleaker picture of the future. One 2025 analysis by Vanguard found that fewer than half of those saving for retirement are on track to maintain their current lifestyle, and a 2025 Gallup poll suggests that up to 40% of Americans have no retirement plan at all. MS NOW's Maya Eaglin traveled to Miami to speak to a group of Americans who are working past the retirement age, or say they plan to for Morning Joe.

In seating order:

Juan D’Arce, Private Investigator

Max Rothman, President, Alliance for Aging

Angela Cajiao, Call Center Worker

Stanley Rigaud, Head of Intermodal Cargo Development at Port Miami

Felipe Barreda, Gig Worker

Bobbi Derrickson, Gig Worker
